Bring It On, Everything True! β€οΈπŸŽ‰πŸ˜

My post today is inspired by this uplifting song, Everything New by Daniel Nahmod. I have included the link below for your listening pleasure. Today I am focusing on living authentically.

Everything New by Daniel Nahmod

I have a dear wise friend, who I admire greatly. She once told me quite frankly, “Stop should-ing all over yourself.” It was quite unexpected and humorous as she was comparing “should-ing all over myself to sh*tting all over myself.” She really made me stop and think about the comparison and how society puts pressure on us to conform. Of course, there is nothing wrong with conforming. What I am talking about is when we don’t follow our dreams or listen to our hearts’ guidance when making choices.

There are times in life when major changes and choices seem to abound. I guess that is what is meant by “turning points” or “crossroads in life.”Β  We come to a realization in our lives, where it is more important to be true to ourselves rather than care or worry about what other people think of us. It takes courage to step outside of others’ expectations of how we “should” behave, i.e. how we should speak, dress, act, where we should work, the kind of vehicle we should drive, the kind of home we should have, the way we should dress, the way we should speak, etc. The list of “shoulds” seems to go on and on. There is a never ending list of “shoulds.”

I encourage you to take chances, to love, and to be true to yourself. You are a unique beloved being of the universe. No one else can offer your talents to the world. You are worthy of all your hearts desires! You deserve to live the life of your dreams! ❀️

Sending much love to you and appreciation for you! Keep shining your bright light!

  1. This is so me right now, in this stage of my life…having the courage to “step outside of the box.” I’ve found though, that every time I take a step in the direction my heart leads me in, that I am more and more ME, with absolutely no need to apologize for no longer conforming to what others desire me to be. And I think I sort of like me πŸ™‚
